Unless Edmonton hasn’t calculated his hit in a while this deal would put him over cap even with the retention. So even though I think the trade itself is fine, think it should be invalid based on that.

By quick estimation it looks like he’s okay. It’s just a quick waiver to get even but I see your point

I added together his 16 man roster and his cap hit is only 72M
