If you don’t believe that some players have negative value you’re crazy I am crazy, but you're even crazier with your goofy little buzzwords just so you can get a trades through. Their value is their value... there is no positive or negative when your only assessment really is the fact that a player like DeHaan is 29 & not 23. He could be a buyout candidate, yes... unless you're actually going to play him to his pay grade in the top 4 + PP, and not his overall, which is perfectly fine to play an 82 in that position, and sets them up to be upgraded still because he's under 35. When I can use that money to pay a better player. Ie Zaitsev was of negative value to the Leafs cause he was a garbage dmen that they were paying 4.5M to instead of getting a better defenceman. In order to get out of that contract the Leafs essentially gave up Connor Brown. |

Damn I sleep for a few hours, and had alot to read up on here  well i understand you all, about the retention for future. That was a try to make give him more, and as i could read by the rule, it did not say that was not a possibility. But since I was unsure, I marked it red to see what admin said about it. Apperently it is, aslong as there is not more then 3 retention active at current season. (We need to clarify that rule if this is the case so we don't get this arguments again) Well so you guys know, Oilers have rejected offers from me aswell. I think what he needs to work on, is to counter when he want's to do the trade. I even asked him if he was sure about it. And I only looked on paper on this one. Did not see anything bad about it but i hear you guys. And for the record.. I am the new GM around here. First ever Sim league, never played anything like this. Don't even play the GM mode on NHL. So everything is new for me, I try to learn from my trades and what I see on other trades aswell. |

Great regular season team but for whatever reason they can't get it done in the playoffs. I guess we'll see though. |

The good he’s done for the Leafs is more than any other GM has done in years.
The Muzzin and Kapanen trades were home runs, he’s signed vet players to great one year contracts and he isn’t afraid of change (something that Lou doesn’t understand).

The Tavares contract is terrible Matthews contract isn't good Nylanders was terrible when it was signed, granted he's played into it a little. Just because people liked a trade at the time, doesn't mean Dubas got taken out back on that deal. I wouldn't be complementing someone on winning a trade with GMJR in todays age, I think anyone could do that lmao. The Tavares signing is what is going to hold the Leafs back. Should've passed on him, kept Kadri, and used that money to build a better D Core and depth. |
