In this league any player who makes OVER 1,000,000 OR is above an 80 OA will have to go through waivers. Players who are RFA at the end of their contract with a cap hit of 2.000m or under, and players on their entry level contracts, are waiver exempt. They do not count against the cap if in the minors.
Re-entry waivers do not exist in this league.
If a player is claimed in a waiver, he must be a part of the claimers NHL roster and may not be sent to the minors without being waived again.
Waivers still exist in the off season.
Waiver process will take 24 HOURS MAX!!!
So better stay active to see who's on the waiver wire!
The team who gets the player is the team lowest in the standings who claims the player. You cannot claim more than 1 player a day (24 hours)!
If a player clears waivers he will carry a 33% cap hit for the duration of his contract. When waiving a player you can choose to buy him out if he clears, which would only carry a 25% cap hit for the duration of his contract.

Updated. Clarified the rule for RFAs:
"Players who are RFA at the end of their contract with a cap hit of 2.000m or under, and players on their entry level contracts, are waiver exempt. They do not count against the cap if in the minors."
