I agree. At first I thought Oilers was getting the bone, but when looking at team needs and what the players can bring its a good deal. Glass is a top prospect who will be a top 6 player in a couple seasons. Smith is underrated...he is good at everything. This deal has the potential to make EDM an instant contender imo.

With how upgrade are, the difference between a 93 and 89 is huge. It takes 19 MPU points to make it happen.
Everyone knows this trade is stupid, a goalies OA comes nothing close to a forwards.
Edmonton would be better off to just use his +8 on a goalie. Wouldn’t be surprised if Joubran is cheating this one, especially because no one knew Draisaitl was on the block

That’s the first time ever and Fleury would still be a starter on many teams. Not to mention Vegas wants to roll with a 1A/1B type of tandem. They’ll play whoever is hot. If we want to go based off of irl valuation then Draisatl shouldn’t be a 93 cause his defensive game is not existent.

This is a video game, I’m giving value based on the overalls, contracts and projections of players. Lehner’s contract is arguably the best of all goaltenders and I’d rather him over Price because of his contract. In other leagues Price being moved for Draisatl is deemed okay but Lehner + Smith + Glass is a trade rape. Makes zero sense and everybody is just looking at names at that point.

A 29 year old 89 overall goalie isn’t at all comparable to a 93 overall 24 year old center. The contract argument is stupid because Draisaitls contract is an absolute steal of a deal as well, and Edmonton isn’t even shedding any salary in this deal.

Which is why he's getting an 86 RW who will become his best RWer and Glass that can grow into a top 6 player. 3 admins and a long time vet have accepted this deal, the three rejects are from somebody who's been gone from these leagues for a while, somebody I don't even know and Stein.

I get where you're coming from because of the names but with overalls and team needs, the value is there.
