I could get a lot more for Toffoli if I retained, but I didn't want to. I realize LA is definitely getting the better end of the deal, but I'm moving cap to possibly make a splash in Free Agency and I don't want to pay 4 million for the next 4 years for a guy I have 0 future plans for and is currently playing on my third line. I shopped Toffoli around as much as I could and the only takers were people who wanted me to retain on him, so this is probably the best I could get without. 2nd round pick is better than nothing.
