Its because the game literally won’t let Canes put the trade through if Edmonton has too many contracts. Just easier for everyone if he does some amateur buyouts before he does a trade.

It really doesn’t matter if people have accepted this, because it EDM is already over the player limit. This puts him an additional 2 players over. He needs to fix his roster before he can make any trades

Not move down, you have to many players total. Need to use amateur buyouts or buyout players thru waivers

Or trade away around 5 guys to make this deal.

Yeah, four players on buyout. I think that puts me under - I think I have 48 now unless I miscounted.
