thats not the way i see the deal at all.

hanzal 84 = skinner 84
komisarek 78 = smith 75 (because of cap hit)
Booth 84, macarthur 83 = staal 87, faulk 78

i think its totally fair. if you think skinner is worth more than hanzal just remember that hanzal is still only 25 years old. in the booth/mac for staal/faulk he gains 2 oa's, so put those 2 on hanzal if you need to and it still works

no matter what. i think this is really fair for both teams

but why? i already broke it down as if it was 3 different trades. i think it should be a no brainer both teams get better from this deal. its not like im trading hanzal for 3rd. lets get this done so i can make more trades

Im going to have to reject. Carolina gives up its 3 best pieces and I dont see the value back matching that. Ive only ever rejected 4 deals ever as a mod so I dont do this easily

Caps got a deal in the trade with MTL lol.. And I know I'm not a mod. But most guys here know me well... I think this trade is fine. Carolina isn't getting the BEST return, but they are getting a return that makes sense to the GM. If the Habs-Caps deal went through there is no reason this shouldn't go through.

hanzal 84 = skinner 84
komisarek 78 = smith 75 (because of cap hit)

I agree with the the comparison above besides the last part. But it's not off by alot. Maybe a 2nd? That's not worth rejecting a trade. Mods are here to make sure people don't cheat. There is no cheating here.

I have to agree with Bolts and the two GM's involved. It might not be a deal some guys would do, but if it's a deal both GM's like, I don't see a reason to reject it. It's clearly not a deal where a team is cheating. Also, MacArthur has been in the top 10 +/- all season on a team that has struggled, and Hanzal is better than Skinner in NHL13. If I was Canes, I might not do it, but it's not about personal taste in players. It's about what's fair, and it's fair IMO.
